I teach math in a rural high school. Currently in my eighth year, third year using Standards-Based Grading. My focus is on Geometry, specifically realigning my course for the Common Core (my goal for this year) and making it more modular to promote student-centered self-paced learning (my goal for next year).

The title of the blog comes from a knot theorist I once worked with, whose direct and honest advice to frustrated students has always stayed with me.

If you find anything on this blog to be valuable, please take and use in your classroom.
